Title says it all.

Does anyone still play TFW?

If it's not currently being developed, would you be willing to sell it to me to try to develop it?

I check in a few times a year and haven't noticed anyone playing. I would be interested in coming back if someone was to try to bring it back.

I peek in now and then as well to see what's going on with the game. I still think it's a great concept.

Seriously just let him buy it if he's willing to work on it. Idk if it's a price thing or what but this is a great game. I check back here at least once a month looking for it to revive. Maybe that's me.

I have a couple friends that are interested in doing programming on this to help take TFW to the next level. I have a marketing group that is ready to work on promoting. We have considered trying to mobilize the game, depending on the back-end and what it would take.

Unfortunately, I don't have the cash at the time being that he wants for it.

If we can work something out, though...

What kind of cash are we talking about here?

I have many other questions as well but those are for later, I guess.

Random thought-- whoever owns the core intellectual property for the game (story and game world-- you generally can't copyright game rules or mechanics... only what you "name" things), you could easily turn this into a board game with randomizable tiles like settlers of cataan, cardboard tokens for buildings/control points/hp,score, and creature tokens and cards (of course). You'd have some rework to do on the art resources, and you'd need to write a clearer rulebook and figure out the packaging, but you already have a well developed game, so it would be a "port" rather than a real redesign. You might have a cleaner path to expansion and profitability that way, and you wouldn't need to write another line of code or fix a bug EVER AGAIN. In this golden age of tabletop gaming, why not try the tabletop path?
