There used to be a eulogy here about how great the game was before it "died", but now that it's getting back on it's feet, it's not really needed anymore. :)

Agreed. It is a shame the economy hit as it did and that Jed was not as able a businessman as he was a programmer/game developer.

Melodrama much?

I only found this game in the very end of its heyday. And of course it's got tons of problems. But it's still one hell of a lot of fun. I play it all the time. Noobs show up all the time and play too. It's not like the old days when a dozen people would sign up for the EC. But it's not dead either. Just in a bit of a coma.

These days I find myself tired of nearly every genre of gaming. There's just too much that is the same. I remind myself of this whenever I download demos on my PS3. :-P

In the past year I've been more focused on tabletop games, especially DnD. Feel free to hit me up on my gaming blog sometime. :-)
