I've noticed latley that we all seem to talk about different MMO's while we're on the Wilds. Then I thought something else: what do WE think about TFW? So in order to gather the great intellectual minds of ourselves, I created this survey. And before you start commenting, answer the questions plz . 1) What do you currently think about TFW's condition? 2) Was TFW better with or without CI and HoC? 3) If you were jed/Altren/whoever else could make changes to the game, what would you immediatly change? 4) Would TFW be in your top 3 MMO list? 5) What MMO's do you think surpass TFW in it's genre? What steps would you take to try to beat the competition if you were jed/Altren/whoever else could make changes to the game? 6) Do you want to change TFW, or is it good to you as it is now? 7a) Who do you hate the most in TFW? (users) 7b) What do you hate the most in TFW? (concepts) 8) Leave additional commentary under this one.

I'll start.
1) What do you currently think about TFW's condition?
It's getting too improved. We're nerfing cards way too much, but it's good to see improvement. Also still needs more players.
2) Was TFW better with or without CI and HoC?
With HoC, without CI. CI's introduction into the game caused a lot of contreversy, nerfing, and complaining, it's just barely worth the new domain.
3) If you were jed/Altren/whoever else could make changes to the game, what would you immediatly change?
Try to balance OP cards, create more effective anti-disconnect and anti-spam methods. Also add an overworld so we don't just end up as names in a forum. I'd also like to see the friends and foes system on forums used to combat annoying and evil users more efficiently. 4) Would TFW be in your top 3 MMO list?
With the nerfs, new tourneys, more newbs, and scripting ,it currently is my 3rd. It's getting there.
5) What MMO's do you think surpass TFW in it's genre? What steps would you take to try to beat the competition if you were jed/Altren/whoever else could make changes to the game?
TFW is great in terms of gameplay, because it's continuosly changing. The problem is that it can't deal with bad users more effectively.
6) Do you want to change TFW, or is it good to you as it is now?
Change it. You really can't stop it from changing at the moment ^_^ .
7a) Who do you hate the most in TFW? (users)
I'd say UBER. Although he is a good debater and gamer, he has a tendancy to edit some of his constructive posts to make others (a certain user especially) look like ******* and basically is saying TFW sucks (as well as that certain user).
7b) What do you hate the most in TFW? (concepts)
n00b's that screw up because they were too tutorial ignorant and quit the game, spammers, and LAG.
8) Leave additional commentary under this one.
IMHO, this game is definitley improving and beggining to maybe even be worth it's weight in silver. With users like DarkJello, Themist, A-Theist, emancipate, and others making new scripts, tournaments and events, this game is definitely on the way to succeeding, but it's not exactly the gold medal winner that you'll see in a magazine, TV, or the like yet.. On a 1-10 scale, I'd give it a 7.

1) What do you currently think about TFW's condition?
It needs more players... already spoke to Jed about a possible source for these.
2) Was TFW better with or without CI and HoC?
I wouldn't know. Probably is better with since CI kicks... yeah.
3) If you were jed/Altren/whoever else could make changes to the game, what would you immediatly change?
a) Cost of packs. b) I'd add more win conditions that don't involve glory. c) Constructed league... d) More constructed tournaments. e) More ways to obtain gold. f) The ability to sell to SarsAI
4) Would TFW be in your top 3 MMO list?
MMOTCG? Yeah. MMO-anything.... Yeah, but I only really like TCG's.
5) What MMO's do you think surpass TFW in it's genre? What steps would you take to try to beat the competition if you were jed/Altren/whoever else could make changes to the game?
I think E_____ has the best mechanics of any MMOTCG I've played. That being said, their business model sucks and their cards are horribly balanced. Waste of a good concept.
6) Do you want to change TFW, or is it good to you as it is now?
I think it's fine in so far as game mechanics go. It could use some way to keep players from being unable to play anything in-game (more than autodraw), I'm talking about locking the opponent down to one building.
7a) Who do you hate the most in TFW? (users)
Chester, hands down.
7b) What do you hate the most in TFW? (concepts)
Chester, hands down.
8) Leave additional commentary under this one.
Have I mentioned how much I hate Chester?

1. I really enjoy it. 2. I think with, i didnt play much before them but more options almost always means better play in TCGs 3. I would add more hand/deck manipulation. I understand jed wanted to create a game that revolved around terrain unlike other TCGs, but i hate noy being able to draw cards. 4. I dont play any others so yes. 5. See previous post. 6. See previous post. 7. I hate sore losers in general. And people who complain about their terrible deck as they are winning 18-0. 7. I really dont hate any concepts. 8. I love this game, I think he did a great job of combining other TCGs and a map based game.

1 . i like it very much nothing about it seems broken or over powering. 2. with ,i wasn't around when without but don't see how they hurt the game. 3. i would give a bonus those using 1 domain and maybe a raise the cost or domain of a few runes. 4. yes very original and good community 5. poxnora purely because of graphics / modern warfare no need to explain that 1 upgrade graphics as much as possible and change rewards for tournaments to a free pack also have a tournament for player with less than 1000 wins. 6. every game needs a few change but no changes would not make me leave. 7. a. at the moment sorrowstorm but themist i want to hate but just don't have any reason to. b. lysis needs a cost change or limit it's casting abilities to units that cost the same or less flux. 8. a new trading system should be considered

Haha atahualpa your last 3 answers killed me.But I'm bored and it's early so here goes nada. 1) What do you currently think about TFW's condition? Kind of a vague question. I think it's a great game that has room for improvement, but jed hasn't hung his hat up on it so hopefully that improvement comes 2) Was TFW better with or without CI and HoC? With, but I think that we are at a good point domain wise, and I don't really want anymore. 3) If you were jed/Altren/whoever else could make changes to the game, what would you immediatly change? I would make 2v2 better . Also more frequent/diversified tourneys and maybe some guild warrage. 4) Would TFW be in your top 3 MMO list? Of games I play, definitely number 2. Of all the games out there, I don't really know, but no subscription fee is good for me . 5) What MMO's do you think surpass TFW in it's genre? What steps would you take to try to beat the competition if you were jed/Altren/whoever else could make changes to the game? Haven't really played any others. But I doubt the list of MMO TCG/boardgames is extensive. 6) Do you want to change TFW, or is it good to you as it is now? Obviously things could be changed, name one game you would say nothing needs changing. That said, I think it's a great game as is and there is a lot of stuff I don't want changed. 7a) Who do you hate the most in TFW? (users) I don't really think that is an appropriate question. But probably the noob who likes to log in as guest and spam it up. 7b) What do you hate the most in TFW? (concepts) The fact everyone uses the same deck. I never see any fun uique decks :/

A lot of this has been discussed before, but since most veterans don't seem to be responding I'll give it a shot. 1) What do you currently think about TFW's condition? Great game, as everyone knows it could use more players. 2) Was TFW better with or without CI and HoC? Better with the additional domains, but no more are needed. 3) If you were jed/Altren/whoever else could make changes to the game, what would you immediatly change? I think they are fine, but the graphics should clearly be improved to attract more players. The interface and graphics is obviously what deters some more superficial players who rather something that looks flashy even if the substance isn't nearly as good. That said, I will repeat that I think the balanced and creative nature of the game overcomes any minor shortcoming of the visuals. 4) Would TFW be in your top 3 MMO list? Far and away it is the top 1. 5) What MMO's do you think surpass TFW in it's genre? What steps would you take to try to beat the competition if you were jed/Altren/whoever else could make changes to the game? See above two answers. 6) Do you want to change TFW, or is it good to you as it is now? Again, I don't think it needs changes for myself, but to attract new players it would help to have the graphics updated. 7a) Who do you hate the most in TFW? (users) I hate this question, no need to create animosity among players. 7b) What do you hate the most in TFW? (concepts) None. Sure some things are minorly OP and I could do with a bit less building decks, but this is much better than it used to be and way more balanced than any other game I've seen that has so many cards. 8) Leave additional commentary under this one. As I've said before the thing I'd love to see more of is expansions. I think the standard in the genre now for both online and real TCG is an expansion every three months. This clearly helps to generate more money regularly, but also creates more buzz and continued excitement. Think of it this way, the first month everyone is testing out all the cool new cards, the second month established decks take form, the third month people anticipate what will come next (or are even part of a beta). The primary argument I've heard against this is that it takes too long to make/test all the cards. The obvious solution is make much smaller expansions. I think even just 30 cards each expansion would be fine. Then use a block system like most games have now (not suggesting you phase cards out) and only include the three or four most recent expansions in a KC. Also in response to the idea that their isn't enough deck variety: Every game like this will only have 2 or 3 truly competitive decks at once (hence one of the benefits of more regular expansions). That said, I think there is a lot more variety possible at the second tier deck quality than people realize. In addition, I would suggest that a well played slightly worse deck can easily compete with someone who doesn't really know what they are doing and just copies one of the elite decks. Before you complain about all the decks being similar, make your own original one and test it, that's what I do and it's fun even when it doesn't quite work. P.S. Make my tree deck viable
